Best for families & day tripsThe best way to explore the region freely. Roads are excellent, parking is free almost everywhere. Book in advance during summer.

Best within citiesWork well in Khobar, Dammam, and Dhahran. Reasonable prices and professional drivers. Coverage may be limited in Jubail and Al-Ahsa.

Airport arrivals onlyAvailable at airport exits. Agree on a price before getting in or confirm the meter is running. Careem is a more reliable alternative.

Easiest city to get around. Careem and Uber work excellently. The corniche is walkable. Best base for exploring the region.

Larger and more spread out. Car preferred. Careem available but distances between neighbourhoods are significant.
Al-Ahsa
Car essential. Limited Careem coverage. 1.5 hours from Khobar. Worth dedicating a full day.
Jubail
1 hour north of Khobar. Car essential. Limited Careem. The coastal road is a great drive.
Dhahran
Small and organised. The Aramco and university areas are walkable. Careem available.
